How to hide any app from homescreen

This tip uses the trick nested folder one. This tip prove useful to those who wants to hide some sensitive apps from other users or who don't want clustered home screen.
1.First Place the app or folder you want to hide in the dock.
2.Then Make it sure that the first page of the Home screen is completely full, and contains at least one folder.
3.Then Long-press the undesired icons and immediately double-tap the Home button.
4.If the selected icon looks larger than the rest, Then only proceed, otherwise repeat the previous step.
5.Then Tap any of the folder on the first page of the home screen.
6.Then Touch any of the area outside the folder to exit it (don’t use the Home button just yet).
7.Now hit the Home button once, and see the app disappear from your phone.

Basic tips for windows phone

These are the the basic tips which a wp users must know.....

1. By Pressing the volume key when the phone is ringing you can silence the call without rejecting it.

2. Hold the camera key will open the camera, even When the screen is locked.



3. When using the calculator app, rotate the phone to landscape mode and you will get the scientific calculator with much more features than simple calculator.

4.You can add additional keyboard layouts for different languages by going to Settings > Keyboard and afterwards you see a language selection button next to the space bar whenever you are using the keypad. you can also download keyboard of differnt languages.

5.You can turn autocorrection feature off by going to Settings > Keyboard, click on the “Typing settings”, then tap on “press to change” at the top of the screen. In the new window that opens, remove the tick from “Correct misspelt words”. and you are all done.

6.You do not need an extra application to create a “to do” or “shopping” lists. You can easily use the preinstalled Office app instead. Open Office, go to notes and then add a new note by pressing the + sign. You can also pin them to your homescreen.

7.If you know a newer version of an app is alredy available but it is not showing as an update in your phone, Then you can force the update of that app by doing this trick. Find the app in the marketplace, press the share button then press the back key and the update button will appear.

8.If your battery starts draining faster than usual youmust check the “find my phone” option in the setting menu. Make sure that the top option is not ticked as it draws considerably more power. The “find my phone” service will still work even if both boxes are unticked. and you cam save alot of battery.

9.If you are facing issues connecting to the internet using mobile data or problems with MMS installing, Download and install Nokia’s network setup app from the marketplace.



10.If your battery is empty and the phone doesn’t restart quickly, Then connects it to your PC via USB sometimes wake it up faster than using the normal charger.

Battery saving tips for ios 7

We all fall in love with the features of highly anticipated and newly arrived ios 7. when we are checking ios 7 on iphone 4s and iphone5 , we found that the battery consumption is much more than the former ios. then we dig into the os and found some healthy tips for saving battery efficiently.

1. Turn off that snazzy 3d or parallax effect which consumes much battery. since parallax effect is applid to wallpaper, icons, and apps icons and dialouge box.

To turn it off go to settings>general>accessiblity>reduced motion

2. Turn off Background app refresh freature.

This feature is biggest battery drain feature. It refreshes the app running in the background like Facebook, twitter etc. automatically which consumes a lot of battery.

To turn it off go to
Settings>general>Background app refresh
and you are all done

3. Use Static wallpaper

live wallpaper is nice but it drains a lot of battery. So instead of using live wallpaper use static wallpaper.

 4. Keep unnecessary wifi , bluetooth, radio off
When you dont use the features like wifi, blutooth, radio, put them off which saves alot of battery.

5. Disable location services for unwanted apps.

many of the apps use location services in the background which consumes a lot of battery.

you turn it off for the unwanted apps which you dont use frequently.

6. Disable automatic update feature

some of the app gets periodically updated. you can save battery by switching it off and do it manually.

now you dont need any softwares to lock your folders or to encrypt them .
You can make disappear any folder even on desktop by following the below given simple steps ..
all you need is a minute ...!

Steps:
 1) create a new folder or take any existing folder which contains your files which you want to hide from others or dont want others see them directly.

7) now comes the turn of renaming the folder, you will wonder that u can just rename and leave the space empty but it wil not work, all you to do is rename the folder and type .. Alt + 0160.. and press enter.

8) all done .. now u can see that ur folder disappeared ..just remember the place where you placed it double click it and you go..

If you do not want your brother, sister or friends to see what you searched previously or want to hide your personal searches from them. Then This tricks is for you.

1. Click on Start>>In search box type"gpedit.msc">>Click on gpedit.

2. Navigate to User Configuration>>Administrative Template>>Windows Component>>Windows Explorer.

3. Then Double Click on "Turn Off display of recent search entries in the windows explorer search box".

4.Set it to enabled and click Apply then OK. Close it.

How To Remotely Ring, Wipe & Lock Your Phone Or Tablet With Android Device Manager....

Requirements And Configuration

The Android Device Manager website does require you to sign in with the same Google account that you used on your device, in order to access or track it. That also means that the same account must remain signed in on your device for the remote operations to work, so if someone wipes it entirely and signs in with a different Google account, you’re out of luck.

Upon successfully signing in with the Google account, you’ll be presented with the screen shown above, allowing you to choose any of the devices associated with your account using the drop-down. You are also shown the last located and last used time of the device, as well as its address both written on the card and shown on the Google Maps view. You can use the refresh button at the top-right of the card to manually fetch the latest location of the device.

Also note that while you can remotely ring the device without needing to configure anything on your device itself, remotely locking and erasing it will require that you have activated Android Device Manager as a device administrator on your phone or tablet. To do that, head over to Settings > Security > Device administrators, tap Android Device Manager, and then tap Activate on the next screen.

Hangouts – This key update to Hangouts finally lets you know who’s, well, hanging out. The old version of the app didn’t let you know whether a potential message recipient was online or not. Now, offline friends have their status icons greyed out.
Google Voice – The update now warns users if they attempt to text 911, and fixes a few bugs.
Google’s been on a tear as it finalizes its new operating system, which is in the final stages of being prepared to ship in the next few days. The release is affectionately known as KitKat, a continuation of the sweets-and-desserts naming system that Google has used since version 1.5 of the mobile operating system.

KitKat is the first new codename for Android since the Jelly Bean, which has stuck with the OS for more than a year, from version 4.1 to the current 4.3. Google hasn’t formally announced the release date for KitKat or the upgrades it will include, but one thing’s for sure: It’s on the way, and soon. How do we know? Because Google has entered into a partnership with Nestle to market the update in conjunction with specially marked KitKat candy bars, including a Wonka-esque golden ticket promotion: crack open a package with the Android logo on the front and you could win a Google Play store credit.

As always, device manufacturers will be free to choose whether to allow the OS update to be installed on individual phones and tablets.
