What you need to take care before buying a laptop

Beware of what laptop you are going to buy

When we go to buy a laptop , we usually go to look for specs . now when we see specs we look for the following thing :

11.)      Processor

22.)      Graphics card

33.)      Looks

44.)      Brand

55.)      Price

66.)      Build quality

77.)      OS

If you are going to look for brand then I cannot help you because if you have certain brand in your mind then there will be no effect by whatever you are thinking.

If you are going to look for the looks of the laptop then also I cannot do anything .

But the most important thing that one must look before buying a laptop is that you must know your needs .

If you want a gaming laptop or a business laptop , then you must look for that type of laptop

Now if you look for processor then don’t just look for the processor name that is i3,i5,i7.

You must also look for the variant for that processor . for example there are many variants like 3230m,3317u etc.

You must first of all know the basic difference between i3,i5,i7.

First of all i3 , i5 ,i7 are different variant s of intel processor.

Intel i3 have 2 cores with 1 thread each that means 2 cores and  2 threads.

Intel i5 have 4 cores with 1 thread each that means 4 cores and  4 threads .

Intel i7 have 4 cores with 2 thread within each core that means 4 cores with 8 threads .

As you can see that i7 is by the best . but as I said you must look for your needs.

If you are a gamer or a person which uses heavy softwares of video editing etc. then look for i7 . by far the best gaming versions of i7 of 3^rd generation is 3770k . now as 4^th generation is also introduced . you can google and compare various variants of intel’s processor.

If  you are a general user than you can do your work with i3 or i5 .

And if you are a user that in future you will play some games then you can buy i5 . by far the best i5 variant is 3230m. than if you are a business person then you can do your work on i3 .

Now I would like to tell you that if you go on searching about different variant s of i3 . there is one variant that  is equivalent to i5 . therefore, you must look not only for i3 , i5 or i7 look for different variants of processor .

I would like to tell you one more thing here , I am saying here that   3230m and you will be wondering that what this m is ?

M stands for mobile that is for laptops .

U stands  for ultrabooks .

K is I think for desktops .

Now the difference between these is that the clock speed . k varaints of processor have the highest clock speed that is above 3GHz. While m variant have clock speed with 2.6 GHz which can be increased with turbo boost technology by intel. U variant have the least clock speed around 1.8GHz . the effect that this creates is this it increases the battery life .

Now if you go on comparing i53230m vs i53317u . then you will find that i5 3230m will be better . if you compare i5 3230m vs i5 4200u that means a 3^rd generation processor vs 4^th generation processor  you may find a strange thing . check it out .

Now let’s move to the graphics card section .

If you are a gamer then you should seriously worry about graphics card . now there are 2 major graphic card producing companies . nvidia and amd radeon .

Both companies launch different versions of their graphic processing unit .

According to my knowledge , nvidia has it’s latest version is nvidia 760m . and amd radeon

Latest version is amd radeon 8670m . now if you compare these 2 gpu’s nvidia will be ahead

Also there are complaints that radeon users laptop heats very fast . which reduces your laptop life .

So also compare your graphic card before buying your laptop as nvidia 630m will be equivalent to radeons 8670m .

So look onto your gpu and don’t just look that graphics memory is 2GB or 1GB.

Also for general user , you can have your work done by the intel hd graphics provided by intel. Intel hd graphics 4000 is good which comes with 3^rd generation . but graphics card with 4^th generation that is intel hd graphics 5000 is very good which is said to be equivalent with amd radeon’s  7600 . so look for intel hd graphics as for part time gamers you can enjoy your games at mid or low quality with intel hd graphics 5000 .

Build quality is also an important . if you know that your laptop may fall . then you must look for a laptop that has good build that means it is made of good quality material.

This is one of the thing that you cannot observe it online so you must go to retail shop and look for it .

OS is one of the most important thing . so you can choose which OS you want .

There are 3 famous OS that is windows , mac os x and linux .

You can choose according to your needs all three are good . but you can find more about these on internet as this depends on your needs .

Last but not least , the price.

If your price range is less , then you can look for an i3 or i5 with no graphic card and variant of your requirement .

If you don’t worry about the price , then you can buy i7 with good graphics card configuration.

Decide yourself which laptop suits you the best .

BUT KEEP ONE THING IN MIND THAT YOU MUST KNOW YOUR NEEDS AND BUY YOUR LAPTOP , AND DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THINGS IN YOUR LAPTOP WHICH YOU ARE NOT GOING TO USE .
